NEPSE drops 47.44 points, with a daily turnover of Rs 8.18 billion.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed at 2,697.91 points on Sunday after falling 47.44 points.

After opening at 2,745.36 points, the secondary market dropped to 2,690.41 points, the day's low, in the first sixteen minutes of trading. But during the next hour and forty-five minutes, the market bounced back and reached the day's high of 2,748.77 points. However, the market lost about 51 points before closing for the day since it was unable to keep investors interested in the last few hours.

Additionally, the sensitivity index—which gauges how well "A" class corporations are performing—dropped by 7.91 points. On Thursday, the daily turnover rose from Rs 7.19 billion to Rs 8.18 billion.

Of the individual companies, 226 were listed as losers and 18 as winners.

With the exception of mutual funds, all 12 groupings that remained were losers. Six groups lost three-digit points overall, with life insurance suffering the worst loss of 329.20 points.

The company with the largest share turnover, Goodwill Finance Limited, brought in Rs 450.70 million. Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited contributed the highest amount of 10% of its market price, while Eastern Hydropower Limited was listed as the biggest loser.
