The price of gold rises more, reaching Rs 159,700 a tola, while that of silver falls.
On Tuesday, the price of gold in Nepal increased by an additional Rs 500 per tola, continuing its upward trend. These latest rises come after gold saw a boom in the global market as a result of the US Federal Reserve's move to cut interest rates, drawing in investors.
The cost of pure gold increased dramatically by Rs 1,500 per tola on Friday and by Rs 1,700 more on Sunday. With a relatively moderate rise of Rs 400 per tola, the enthusiasm continued into Monday.
As per the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the current trading price of fine gold per tola has increased to Rs 159,700 from Rs 159,200 on Monday.
Silver's price, on the other hand, has somewhat decreased. Silver prices fell by Rs 5 per tola on Tuesday, to settle at Rs 1,915 per tola, after staying steady at Rs 1,920 per tola on Sunday and Monday.
