After increasing by Rs 400 per tola on Monday, the price of gold hit yet another new high on the domestic market today.
The Nepali market has been steadily growing thanks to the precious metals' ongoing appreciation on global markets.
The cost of pure gold increased by Rs 1,500 per tola on Friday and then by an additional Rs 1,700 on Sunday. On Monday, the increasing trend continued, albeit at a more moderate increase of Rs 400 per tola.
The price of pure gold has increased to Rs 159,200 per tola from Rs 158,800 per tola on Sunday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
In the meantime, the price of silver held steady at Rs 1,920 per tola today after experiencing a minor uptick of Rs 5 on Sunday.
