According to Aditya Parajuli, president of the Nepal Tea Producers' Association, the decline in South India's tea production has led to a rise in tea exports from Nepal. Due to rising demand from India, Nepal's tea exports are probably going to rise even more this year.
India received 13,433 metric tons of tea exports valued at Rs. 3.16 billion in the most recent fiscal year, 2080–81. Compared to the prior fiscal year, there was a 7.68 percent decrease in the quantity of tea exported in the previous year.
