The British government is planning to award the Government of Nepal 13.8 billion rupees as part of a program aimed at achieving gender parity, human development, and environmental participation and adaptation.
The Council of Ministers decided today to accept 38.5 million pounds, or roughly six billion 58 million, for programs that highlight gender and human development accomplishments from the UK, and 38.5 million pounds, or roughly six billion 50 million, for initiatives that promote environmental inclusion and adaptation have completed.
In announcing the outcome of the cabinet meeting that took place here on Tuesday, Prithvi Subba Gurung, the minister of communications and information technology and government spokesperson, said that a negotiation team has been formed to discuss the acceptance of a grant and loan aid worth $10 million US that the Asian Development Bank has proposed for projects pertaining to bio-friendly environments.
