PPA reported to have cost 3.5 billion between the authorities and Kang Hydropower
On Sunday, the Nepal Electricity Authority and Kang Hydropower Company signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the electricity to be generated by the Upper Maiwa Hydropower Project.
The project is expected to produce 17.85 MW of power. The company stated in the construction contract for the upper Maiwa hydropower project that it will begin work with the aim of beginning commercial production on June 1, 2086. The project will be built on the Maiwa river of Taplejung and the Maiwa river flowing through Miringden rural municipality.
The building site now has access to the roads and energy needed for the project's construction. The project is expected to cost 3.5 billion rupees. thirty percent from share members and seventy percent from banks.
