There has been a little decrease in the banking system's deposit collecting, according to Nepal Rastra Bank. Loan disbursements happen slowly. Customers used to be unable to obtain loans because the bank did not have enough money. Because of low demand, the bank is not currently able to offer loans.


According to Central Bank figures as of August 15, the banking system has 64 trillion 67 billion deposits. Deposits of 64 trillion 64 billion were gathered as of August 16. Based on this data, it appears that 3 billion less deposits were made in a single day.


Additionally, there has been a little decrease in the amount of deposits that commercial banks are collecting. The amount of deposits collected from commercial banks fell by one billion throughout that period. On August 16, banks that had collected 57 trillion 40 deposits on August 15th also collected 57 trillion 39 billion. The amount of loans disbursed has decreased by $1 billion throughout this time. Banks and other financial institutions gave out 51 trillion 94 billion loans on the 16th of last year. Banks and other financial institutions disbursed 51 trillion 95 billion in loans on the 15th.


 The average CD ratio has also stayed at 78.94 percent, according to data from Rashtra Bank. In a similar vein, the Central Bank's statistics indicates that the interbank interest rate has risen from 2.98 to 3 percent.
