Kailali exports animal goods worth 8.66 billion annually.
It has been discovered that Kailali exports 8 billion 66 million worth of livestock and animal goods per year. Goats, buffaloes, and other livestock have been discovered to be exported from this area to Kathmandu, Karnali, and the Gandaki province.
According to annual figures, Kailali exports about 25,000 buffaloes and 50,000 goats. The area has also exported milk valued at 3 billion 40 million, water and ghee valued at 18 million, and churpi valued at 80 million.
However, since the corona pandemic, there has been a rise in the production of animals and animal products. Farmers have established the practice of rearing cattle and making money from it after Corona. There are now more livestock keepers in the Terai region's rural communities, such as Mohanyal and Chure Rural Municipality in Kailali.
The head of the Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Expert Center Dhangadhi, Dr. Hemraj Awasthi, stated that the rise in goat rearing in animal husbandry has led to an increase in the number of sellable Khasi goats in hilly areas, such as the Chure area of Kailali and Kanchanpur.
He claimed that following Corona, there was a rise in the number of livestock rearers in rural areas. It's been discovered that following Corona, there are more people raising livestock. Every family has numerically increased the number of cattle, even if there isn't a large animal farm," Dr. Awasthi stated.
In a same vein, official data indicates that Kailali exports four truckloads of Khasi-Boca per day via Chisapani. According to statistics, during the most recent fiscal year, Kailali served as the exportation hub for 49,764 goats to various provinces around the nation. They have exported 3.5 billion goats at a rate of 16,000 per goat. Likewise, three truckloads of buffaloes are shipped out every day.
