Following their monsoon hiatus, hot air balloon rides return to Pokhara.
Due to the rainy season, Pokhara's hot air balloon flight service was put on hold, but it started up again on Friday.
Foreign captains will oversee this adventurous sport, which is operated by Balloon Nepal in Pokhara. It has been declared that Harvey Alexander from the UK and Cleto from Spain would be operating the flights.
The business has been operating two balloons at a height of about 9,000 feet during its flights. Tourists can take in views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, and other mountains, as well as Phewa Lake, the Pumdikot Mahadev monument, paragliding flights from Mandredhunga in Sarangkot, and the stunning surroundings of the Pokhara Valley, according to Balloon Nepal chairwoman Bikram Bade.
Bade stated, "We are currently operating hot air balloon flights from Pame in Pokhara in two shifts, one in the morning and the other in the evening. Lately, this sport has become a favorite among adventure tourism enthusiasts." He states that the hours of operation for the service are 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
He stated that the company has been operating balloons with call signs 9N-AMW, which can carry up to eight passengers (not including the pilot), and 9 NV, which can carry up to twelve passengers (not including the pilot).
In an effort to coincide with Christmas and the English New Year in 2025, the firm is also planning an international balloon festival in Pokhara from December 24 to January 1.
The cost of riding in the hot air balloon will be Rs 11,000 for Nepali visitors. In a similar vein, visitors from SAARC nations will pay $120, while visitors from other nations would pay $150.
