The financial reports of life insurance firms for the fiscal year 2080–2081 are now available. The public financial report states that during the financial year, 14 life insurance companies listed on NEPSE made a total net profit of 5 billion 73 crore 32 lakh 66 thousand rupees. This represents a 15.18% increase over the profit from the prior year.
These 14 life insurance firms made a total profit of 4.97 billion 73.28 thousand rupees in the fiscal year 2079–2080.
On the other hand, non-life insurance businesses have made more than 6.5 billion in profit this year. However, it is evident from the fact that 14 life insurance companies had a combined profit of Rs 5 billion 73 crore that they performed poorly. Non-life insurance companies have had a 50.56 percent gain in earnings in the reviewed year.
Which insurance provider made the most money?
Eleven of the fourteen life insurance companies have seen increases in profits, while three have seen decreases, according to the published financial report. Among the companies that have experienced a loss of profits this year are Life Insurance Corporation, Meta Life Insurance, and Sannepal Life Insurance. These companies' profit margins have shrunk from 26.53 percent to 68.34 percent.
