When banks held onto their assets and made loans, they became to resemble sahujis: Oli, the Prime Minister
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has voiced his dissatisfaction with the loan distribution method to banks. Speaking at the Startup Nation 2030 event on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli stated that loans ought to be disbursed solely following a project evaluation.
He added that when banks grant loans by holding onto property, they are similar to sahujis. "Sahuji is not a bank and should have given loans after appraising the project," stated Prime Minister Oli.
According to Prime Minister Oli, the climate has improved for startups, and he encouraged them to make investments and grow into sectors that see a surge in the output of small businesses.
Prime Minister Oli stated that while cooperatives are good in and of themselves, when non-cooperative factors join, cooperatives nationwide are sinking. He declared that new measures will be taken by the government to instill financial responsibility in cooperatives.
"The cooperative sank when non-cooperative elements entered the cooperative," stated Prime Minister Oli. Cooperation is beneficial on its own. The way the government supports cooperatives has changed recently.
Prime Minister Oli stressed the importance of investing in sectors of the economy that can boost output with little capital in order to provide job opportunities for the nation's youth. He stated that encouraging entrepreneurship is a good way to stop young people from migrating overseas.
