Tax return of ten percent in the event that payment for services is made electronically

If consumers use electronic ways to pay for services, the Internal Revenue Department will reimburse them for 10% of the taxes paid as a monetary incentive.

The department has sent out a notice and notified consumers, company owners, and other relevant parties about the implementation of the plans pertaining to electronic payment for service purchases.

On August 21, the department amended Section 25 of the Value Added Tax Act, 2052, by adding a new sub-section (1), Section (b). If a customer pays for products and services that the department designates by issuing a notice and does so electronically in compliance with the applicable laws, he will be given cash. Ten percent of the incentive tax paid would be refunded to his bank account in accordance with the department's prescribed method, it was decided.

Services from drinking establishments (bars), chamenagriha/restaurants, and all kinds of hotels, motels, lodges, and guesthouse enterprises are among those for which the customer will receive a reimbursement of ten percent of the VAT they paid.
