Once more, the Securities Board chairman nomination process has been halted.

The remaining participants who were initially chosen for interviews were contacted once again for interviews. Dr. Shivraj Adhikari, the Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission and Coordinator of the Chairman's Recommendation Committee, was absent on Friday as well. The reason for stopping the interview is allegedly that the cop became ill and had to be admitted to the hospital.

Out of the 19 candidates in the first round, the selection committee chose Santosh Narayan Shrestha, Muktinath Shrestha, executive director of the Securities Board.

The Ministry of Finance halted the procedure after only two of the five participants remained, citing a legal obstacle.

After the court ruled against initiating a new procedure, attempts were made to carry on with the previous one.
